MASTER LOCK “SAFETY SERIES” SWEEPSTAKES
OFFICIAL RULES
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. You may enter the sweepstakes either (a) by finding the hidden codes, there are a total of four (4), on the Master Lock Safety Series web site at www.safetyseries.com (the “Web Site”) and mailing your business card with the hidden codes legibly handwritten on the back to Master Lock “Safety Series” Sweepstakes, Dept. JVH, 137 W. Forest Hill Avenue, Oak Creek, WI 53154 or (b) by placing your business card with the hidden codes that you found on the Web Site legibly handwritten on the back into the entry box at the Master Lock Company LLC booth at the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), Voluntary Protection Programs Participants’ Association (VPPPA) or National Safety Council (NSC) trade shows. Sweepstakes commences on or about June 1, 2006, and all mail-in entries must be post-marked by November 8, 2006 and received by November 20, 2006. All entries submitted at one of the listed trade shows must be received prior to the booth closing on the final day of the show. Limit one (1) entry per person or e-mail address regardless of method of entry. If more than one entry is received per person or e-mail address, all such entries submitted will be disqualified.
Master Lock Company LLC ("Sponsor") is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, misdirected, or postage-due mail or entries, all of which shall be void. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual (and his or her entry) if such individual tampers with the entry process, or in any way attempts to undermine the integrity and/or proper play of this promotion. By entering, entrants acknowledge compliance with these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Except where prohibited by law, entrants waive all rights and remedies at law or in equity for any claim they may have relating to this promotion.
2. DRAWING. On or before December 1, 2006, four (4) entries will be drawn at random by Sponsor from all eligible entries to determine the winners. Entrants will receive one (1) entry for each hidden code listed on the back of their business-card entry, up to the maximum of four (4) entries in the drawing if all four (4) hidden codes are written on the back of the business card entry. Odds of winning depend upon the number of entries and the number of hidden codes supplied with each entry. Winners will be notified by e-mail or telephone, by a representative of Sponsor on or about December 1, 2006.
3. PRIZES. Four (4) Prizes will be awarded, consisting of Five Hundred US Dollars (US$500). (Total A.R.V. of all prizes is $2,000) Where applicable, all taxes on the prizes are the respective winner’s sole responsibility. By accepting a prize, winner agrees that Sponsor may use his or her name for advertising and promotional purposes in any media and promotional purposes without limitation or additional compensation or notice. Winner shall be required to provide positive identification specified by Sponsor to claim the prize. Winner shall be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release without additional compensation (where permitted by law) within ten (10) days of notification or the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. All prizes will be awarded according to these Rules and distributed no later than December 15, 2006, provided they are claimed in accordance with these Rules.
4. ELIGIBILITY. This sweepstakes is open to legal residents of Canada, Mexico, the 50 United States and D.C. who are at least 18 years old and are employed as safety professionals. Employees of Sponsor, its agents or its parent company and their immediate families and/or household residents are ineligible. This Sweepstakes shall only be construed and evaluated according to United States law, and submission of an entry constitutes acceptance of the laws of the United States. This Sweepstakes is void outside the United States, Canada, Mexico and where prohibited.
5. SPONSOR. Master Lock Company LLC is the sponsor of this sweepstakes. Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize constitutes winner’s agreement to hold harmless Sponsor, its parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and the officers, directors, employees and agents of each of them from and against any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from the acceptance of any prize. |
